LINEAR DESIGN OF NEW NORA RUBBER FLOORING ADDS ATMOSPHERE AND SPACE

Leading European flooring producer, Nora Systems by Interface, has launched Noraplan Linee, a new flexible rubber flooring collection with natural and muted colours to reflect the currently popular linear interior design trend.

German-based Nora Systems by Interface, part of the Interface Flooring group, is distributed in South Africa by KBAC Flooring. The new collection is the first to be designed by Nora Systems in collaboration with the design team of its holding company, Interface, after Nora Systems was acquired by Interface in 2018.

The designers of the new range found inspiration for the new collection in contemporary clear lines – an effective interior design technique created by the architecture or furnishing elements that guide the eye through a room. Featuring subtle, gently contrasting lines, Noraplan Linee is particularly suitable for public areas where design is at a premium, such as entrances or waiting lounges, and generally for creating a cosy feel-good atmosphere.

Clara Sobirey, Product Marketing Manager at Nora Systems, says: “Noraplan Linee’s distinctive lineation emphasises spatial dimensions, while its restrained colours complement the purist look of modern interior design. Grey and beige tones meet spring-like pastel shades in green and blue while the modular concept underlying Nora products provides outstanding design flexibility. Individual installation patterns, monochrome or multi-coloured, strongly influence the ambience and give rooms with Noraplan Linee flooring a unique face. With this collection, you can separate areas from one another or create ‘room concepts’ that reflect the architecture of the building.”

Sobirey says regardless of where Noraplan Linee is used for interiors, the new collection combines the resilience and elasticity of rubber with modern design to create fresh, energetic interiors in which people feel particularly comfortable. The dense surface of Nora rubber floor covering makes it extremely durable and easy to maintain while still looking good after many years of use, even in high-traffic areas.

Noraplan Linee can be supplied in standardised sheet material and various plank or tile sizes. It provides better indoor air quality, free of phthalate plasticisers and with low-emissions, as endorsed by certification from several international organisations.

“With Noraplan Linee, we are launching a floor covering that meets the demands of the latest ‘linear’ interior design trends and at the same time provides the well-known Nora qualities of functionality, durability and easy maintenance. In this way, modern rooms can be designed that are impressive, all along the line,” concludes Sobirey.

Produced in Germany for almost 70 years, Nora sustainable rubber flooring lowers maintenance costs, reduces noise, and provides added comfort underfoot. Interface is a global flooring company specialising in carbon neutral carpet tiles and resilient flooring, including luxury vinyl tiles (LVTs).
